MetalTec compounds are used in applications where welding is not a practical choice, or heat cannot be tolerated.  These coatings can be applied to new or existing parts before they are put into service to prolong equipment life and improve performance.  MetalTec can also be used as part of a maintenance schedule to reduce maintenance and production costs.

MetalTec 6000

Trowel Applied Machinable Repair Compound A trowelable, machinable grade composite repair compound formulated with stainless steel for maximum durability and performance. Protects surfaces exposed to temperatures up to 400ºF(204ºC). As a corrosion resistant coating MetalTec 6000 offers excellent protection against a wide variety of chemicals - organic and inorganic acids, caustics, oils, solvents and detergents. Although proper surface preparation is very important, MetalTec 6000 is very surface tolerant of oil imbedded surfaces. MetalTec 6000 is non-shrinking and cures to use in about 4 hours, at which time it can be drilled, tapped or machined with conventional cutting tools. An excellent choice for rebuilding shafts, bearing housings, keyways, as well as mismachined parts that must be brought back to original dimensions.

MetalTec 6300

Rapid Curing Two Component Composite For Quick Repairs A rapid curing trowelable and machinable grade composite repair compound, formulated with stainless steel for durability and performance. Protects surfaces exposed to temperature up to 400ºF(204ºC). Repairs made with MetalTec 6300 are non-shrinking and cure to use in about 30 minutes. Repairs are easily machined and offer excellent corrosion resistance to organic and inorganic acids, alkalis, solvents, oils and detergents. Its thick consistency allows it to be troweled and molded to almost any shape or contour. It may be applied up to 1/4"(6.0mm) thick without sagging.
